Scouting Ministry is alive and well at Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Scouting America (formally Boy Scouts of America) is founded in the principles of teaching youth to be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. Resulting in young men and women that have learned life skills that will empower them to be active and engaged members of society.
Troop 815 calls Hopewell United Methodist home and meets on Tuesday nights. Troop 815 was established as Greenville's first female Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop on February 1, 2019. Troop is in their 7th year of teaching girls empowerment, adaptability, and bravery through the Scouting America program. The Troop is always looking for young women interested in setting themselves up for success and if being part of an engaged group of other young women and leaders sounds interesting or you have questions please contact us at ScoutsBSA.Troop815@gmail.com
Hopewell also celebrates its support of other scouting units. Currently active in various project and fundraisers at the church the following units would also welcome your questions and participation:
